I wanted to tell you all about an opportunity I have coming up!  This is my last summer as an undergraduate (I may go for masters, we will see) and I wanted to spend this summer in a very special way: by serving the less fortunate.  Living in the U.S, so many of us don't know the appearance of true poverty. When we lie in our beds at night, as comfortable as we are, there are people who don't have a bed to sleep in. Knowing that I can do something to help situations like this caused me to want to volunteer in missions over the summer... I began my search for a missions program near home (as it would be my first time leaving the country) and I found an awesome one in Mexico City, Mexico.  The program is called Avance and its a missions internship in which I will be introduced to the lifestyle of missions, trained in missions, taught another language and be called to live another lifestyle. The program is a duration of two months in which I will be volunteering at a church and helping the community I will be placed in.  I'm super excited about this opportunity because I want to help make the quality of someone else's life better.  We have been so blessed, here in the US and I want to help others, as much as I can, through the opportunity that is this mission internship.  This is a great chance for me to grow, learn and, most importantly, serve some of our less fortunate neighbors.

I hope you all understand my heart and want to help! The first $2,000 is DUE MAY 1st!!!!!! The funds you donate will go towards the cost to attend the program: housing, food, transportation and learning materials: as well as some general expenses and Airfare!
