John Wood is a skilled master tile-layer who has dedicated his life to his craft. Unfortunately, John's life was turned upside down at the end of June when his colon suddenly ruptured, landing him in the hospital for emergency surgery.

On the 8th day of his hospital stay, doctors discovered another hole in John's colon, which caused his intestines to twist. This complication resulted in John losing half of his intestine and half of his colon, leaving him with a semi-permanent colostomy bag.

Doctors believe that John's ongoing digestive issues likely stem from the fact that he is missing most of his teeth, with only a few remaining. This has made it difficult for John to properly chew and digest his food over the years.

Now, John faces a long and challenging recovery, and he is unable to work as the sole provider for his household, which includes his wife Shelia and their granddaughter Penny. The financial strain is mounting, and John and his family are in urgent need of support.
