Firstly we as part of her family we would like to thank you all for your wonderful words, wishes and all the prayers your beautiful people have given in helping their baby girl keep fighting this fight.
They appreciate and love you all. ❤️

As most of you know Alana was flown in by the Royal Flying Doctors to Perth Children’s ICU unit 11days ago where we got told Alana was fighting Necrotising pneumonia, Streptococcus and Sepsis.

They were given a shock to their lives as she had near to no flu symptoms and originally was getting told via her ED visit in Busselton prior that they were dealing with a stomach flu or maybe appendicitis and then on a second visit 8 hours in getting told Alana is very unwell and that she was being flown to ICU at RPCH.

Everything started going down hill very quickly by this stage. Alana was having an allergic reactions called PRIS Syndrome to her sedation medication called Propofol…She was also having a allergic reaction with both drugs causing her heart to plummet, starving oxygen within her blood cells and essentially was killing her and Kat and Matt were pulled aside and told to be prepared this may be the case.

This situation caused ICU to have all teams come on board with all decisions to be made and agreed on by all sides of the medical unit/team and not by just one person but with a few higher individuals.

Sunday morning things started turning around for the better with still a lot of ups and down but they were taking all the little wins on board.
She was put on a continuous Dialysis machine and blood thinners to help what was called the death bloat and removed the water-logging that was formed in her right lung ( her good lung ) and a drain was put in on the left lung which was affected with a white out of Necrotising pneumonia had collapsed.

So as you all know she is now on the road to recovery ❤️‍ it is going to be a very long process with continuous ups and downs as their beautiful angel starts healing and get her strength and sassiness back.

Matt and Kat will not be leaving her side until she can finally come home… So let’s all get around them and help them not to worry about anything but being there to fight for Alana to get her strength and health back and for them to rest easy and not stress about anything else.

Anything is a help so please donate what you can for this lovely family ❤️
