This family's story starts with Corey, a young mother who knew she was too young and with out enough resources to provide for her baby. She selfless chose to giver her baby boy Aiden up for adoption in hopes that he would have the best possible life. She felt God lead her to a special family and she chose then to be her son's parents. The adoption was open so she was able to have some contact with the family and visit them every 2-6 months. Aiden did not know that Corey was his birth mother but despite that fact they formed a very special bond.
Corey met and then married Adam a few years after Aiden was born. Corey finaly felt like she had a stable life and was ready to try for another child. Years pass and Corey and Adam were still unable to get pregnant. Corey's heart ached to be a mother and she feared that she may have missed her only chance when she gave Aiden up for adoption.
Around Aiden's seventh birthday he finds out that Corey is his birth mother. Aidens adoptive parents aske Corey if she would like to have more visits with him, including overnight and weekend visits. Corey is nervous but thrilled to see Aiden more. A few months later Corey has a conversation with Aidens adoptive parents that completely catches her off gaurd. They tell Corey that they feel that they do not have a bond with Aiden the way she does and that having 4 biological children of thier own, they feel terrible having her only child. After many emotional conversations Corey and Adam took temporary gaurdianship of Aiden last summer. They are now in the very expensive process of adopting Aiden back and having a 2nd chance at a family.
