Hi, my name is Kamil and I need help. I am 25 and a single father to my 10 month old son, Dimitri. Recently life has become more difficult with the absence of Dimitri’s mother for her own personal reasons. I am working very hard to pay for all our expenses with no child support. My immediate goal is to find a cheaper apartment as soon as possible in order to afford daycare, which would open up more time to work extra hours with my job at Oil Changers to cover our basic needs. 

At the moment, I am very overwhelmed and humbly asking for assistance. I feel this $5000 would allow for a first and last months rent deposit on a less expensive apartment, cover our moving expenses, and provide enough of a child care stipend for Dimitri while I work to find a more affordable daily daycare solution.

I want to do everything in my power to prevent my son from being exposed to the same trauma I encountered as a young child. For those who don’t know, I was adopted from an orphanage at a very young age and bounced around the foster care system throughout my childhood. These unfortunate circumstances contributed to me living some of my years on the street as I struggled with homelessness. However despite these hardships, my life journey has shaped me into the courageous man I am today. I ask that you not view this as a sob story, but that of a hero’s journey about a young man faced with adversity, doing his best for himself and his son in the pursuit of safe, productive, happy and healthy lives.

Please also know that my son and I are very happy, and I love being a Dad with all my heart. We smile and laugh every day even though there are so many unknowns in our future. We are blessed to have each other and I am grateful you took the time to read our story. Thank you and God Bless!
