Support Ashley and Her Girls in Their Time of Need

Hi, my name is Jeff, and I’m raising funds to support a family who means everything to me—Ashley, a resilient single mom, and her two incredible little girls, Lucy (6) and Frannie (3).

Ashley has faced more challenges than anyone should ever endure, yet she keeps pushing forward for the sake of her family. But no matter how hard she fights, the weight of her struggles keeps pulling her down.

Lucy was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, relying on a power chair and specialized care to thrive. For years, Ashley stayed home full-time to ensure Lucy had everything she needed. But after a long, exhausting, and costly divorce, Ashley was forced to return to work. To make that possible, she relied on private duty nurses to care for Lucy during the day.

Unfortunately, both nurses are now gone, and Ashley is facing a devastating choice: continue working and risk not meeting Lucy’s medical needs or stay home and fall further behind financially. Ashley is currently looking for new nurses, but that requires a great deal of time and effort to find, interview, and train them on Lucy’s specific care.

Despite working tirelessly, Ashley is overwhelmed with mountains of debt, including legal fees, medical costs, and basic living expenses. Every month, she’s forced to make impossible decisions about what gets paid and what doesn’t. Medicaid provides the nursing care Lucy depends on, but with policy changes and restrictions, that essential service is at risk, too.

To add to the stress, Frannie doesn’t attend daycare due to the health risks to Lucy. This means Ashley is relying on family and friends for childcare—without being able to compensate them. And on top of everything, their one-year-old dog, Polka, recently had orthopedic surgery, which has added an unexpected financial burden.

Polka is not just a pet—she’s a source of comfort and joy for the girls, and keeping her healthy is essential for their well-being.

Ashley is strong and selfless, always putting her daughters first. But right now, she needs your support.
