Who are we?

We are The Treehouse. We are a Community Cafe running groups, offering signposting, sharing resources and being a space that our community can access and enjoy.

We have a Community Fridge to help prevent food waste and provide families with food.

We are seeing more and more families being affected by the cost of the living, by the constant withdrawal of support resources and the struggles of everyday life.

We believe in the saying “it takes a village” but are conscious that not everyone has one. That’s why we are building our own where everyone is welcome. It’s not necessarily about help or support but about friendship, nurture and empowerment. Being able to share experiences, offer an ear, make

connections and feel a part of something special.

It’s not just children that our ‘village’ is raising; it’s new parents, families, older people, home educated children, friendships, support groups and connections.

How will we do this?

We will continue to tailor our groups to the adapting needs of our community.

We will provide space for child led exploration, offer opportunities for open ended play and create warm, welcoming invitations for interactions.

We will introduce groups that bring together the older and younger generations to bring a sense of ‘family’.

We will continue to offer refreshments at an affordable rate so every one can feel treated.

We work as sustainably as possible and all profit is fed straight back into future community offerings. Your support helps us to update our resources, tend to our outdoor spaces and contributes to our ever increasing utility bills.
