Tribe Stars in Liberia 2026 Edition
Building on Our First Year of Impact

Hello!
My name is Zeta Kromah, an international student-athlete at the College of William and Mary. I’m a sophomore aspiring to major in Business marketing and International Relations and compete as a Division I soccer player.

Last year, I returned to my home country Liberia for Winter break, after more than a year away to launch the first-ever edition of Tribe Stars in Liberia. This vision became a real community impact program reaching young soccer athletes, showing kindness and bringing communities together through soccer camps, leadership and services.

Tribe Stars in Liberia has become a major success story, inspiring parents, coaches, community leaders, and local sports teams in Liberia to create safe and sportive environments where athletes are encouraged to learn, grow and become better versions of themselves. Because of this impact, I’m proud to launch the next edition, targeting 400 young athletes across 8 underserved communities in Liberia.

What We Accomplished Last Year
  • We hosted youth soccer camps for boys and girls aged 12-18 across three communities in Liberia.
  • Raised $2,995
  • Reached 105 participants
  • Taught the importance of leadership, teamwork and confidence-building through workshops.
  • Empowered undergraduate athletes to serve as coaches
  • Engaged family members and local volunteers to keep costs low.
  • Documented the program through photos and videos
These impacts go far beyond camps or distribution of soccer kits and school supplies. They brought hope in these communities.

How Founds Will Be Used
Every donation matters and your support will help cover:
  • Soccer equipments (jersey, shorts, socks, cleats and balls)
  • Training equipments (cones, pennies, mini goals, water bottles)
  • School supplies (notebooks, pens, and backpacks)
  • Local field/venue cost and logistics
  • Camps T-shirts
  • Purchase of professional cameras
  • International transportation of donated equipment
  • Local transportation and coordination costs
  • Refreshments and snacks
My family and local volunteers will again contribute their time and support to ensure funds are used efficiently and responsibly.

What This Matters
I was born in West Point, one of the slum communities in Liberia, which is known for its bad reputation in child upbringing. I have navigated my way through a society that stereotypes the outcomes of this community and women involved in soccer. Through this experience, I have seen and lived what it’s like to have big dreams and ambitions within a society of limited opportunities and resources.

Today, I’m at one of the most prestigious colleges in America, playing Division 1 soccer, all because of the generosity of kind and selfless people. I want to return that kindness by empowering my local community and giving hope to the youth. I want to see families happy and kids becoming better versions of themselves. I’m willing to go the extra mile to make this a reality, even if it means asking other kind people like you to contribute and donate what you can.

In addition to my studies at William and Mary, I graduated as a valedictorian of my high school (LEAD Monrovia Football Academy) in Liberia. I have also represented my country by playing for the women's 17, 20, and senior national teams and captained the under-17 team for a year. These experiences have shaped my perspective of the world and the impact I want to make in my local community.
