Reuniting the Chimwaji family

Donation protected

Aisha - born and raised in London - visited Zambia with her young son Simon in 2017. She had heard about the work of Proclamation Institute Zambia in an event hosted at The Angel Church and wanted to go and see the country and learn more about this training initiative. It was while there that she met Moses and his young son James.  The rest - as they say - is history.

Aisha and Moses are now married and in addition to Simon and James have a newborn son, Raphael (who looks just like his dad!) The tragedy is, Moses and James are stuck in Zambia and have not been able to meet this newest member of the Chimwaji family. Why? Since 2012 draconian and inhumane (Article 8 European Convention on Human Rights) visa regulations have forced many British nationals like Aisha and Simon into an undesired separation from foreign national family due to the current inability of the family to meet the unreasonable financial restrictions.

Legal advice has been sought and help found that will hopefully see Moses and James allowed to be reunited with their family in London, but not without some hoops to jump through and much cost - cost that the family cannot bear on their own. The total cost involved including spouse visa fees, healthcare fees (Moses and James will not initially qualify for care under NHS), and flight tickets amount to £6000+

The funds are needed by 31 October so that the final application can be made the following week and this will hopefully enable Moses and James to be with their family early in the New Year. It is hard to put into words how much your support would mean to the Chimwaji family. It is the difference between them being able to be together as a family or not.

At the end of most weddings, the words are said: "What God has joined together let no one tear asunder." We would value your support in helping this family to be reunited without more burden being placed on them than already exists.

Many thanks for your meaningful help!
