Hi everyone! As many of you know or have heard, my father, Juan Figueroa, or as most people know him, “Pipis,” was detained by ICE today. First off, I would love to thank everyone who’s reached out! My family appreciates that so much ❤️ He has no criminal record whatsoever, maybe a speeding ticket, but that’s all. He is just an average person who goes to work and provides for his family.

Many of you know mine and Lilly’s backstory, and if you do, you know this man has sacrificed everything and more to gain custody and take care of us. He was the only real parental figure me and Lilly had for 10 years. He raised all of his kids to be strong and resilient, so that’s exactly what we’re trying to do. My little brothers are confused about where he is, and my youngest brother, who is 8, doesn’t understand what’s even going on, but we are all trying to be positive and just pray for the best.

He has been trying for the last 10 years to do it the right way. Doing it the right way takes time and money that he unfortunately didn’t have to spare. He has 4 kids to provide for (3 of which he does solely) and bills to pay. It’s been a long process, but we were literally just approved last month for the next step in his immigration case.

As of now, my stepmom believes we are okay to support our bills and groceries. A small amount is included in our overall goal. This may change, but we are praying we don’t get to that point. Our main concern is lawyer bills. We don’t know much, but we are certain that my father is being transported somewhere, and he will have one hearing, and if he is not approved, he will be deported. We are hopeful he will be approved since he has an ongoing/open US citizen case, but nothing is confirmed as of now. Even after that, we don’t know where he will end up.
