Operation elf

Last year about a week before Christmas I came up with an idea to stand on the  corner of Main  and Broadway St in Monticello dressed up as Santa Claus and pass out free gift bags to children in need. I had mentioned it to a friend and she said let’s do it. With  last year‘s go fund me page and other cash donations we raised about $4500. We passed out 150 gift bags last year with gift cards and other nice items for children. It was a huge success . Our goal was to put  smiles on children’s faces and we did just that. This year we are doing it again and we want to make it bigger and better  so more children can smile and get that special gift for Christmas.  We are asking for your help. Whether you could donate  $5.00  or  $500 .00 every little bit helps. We are hoping to double what we did last year. I have a goal of $8000. I want to assure you that 100% of all monies donated goes towards gift bags for children. I along with other friends involved  donate our time to make this  yearly event a success .
