Imani is one of the most genuine and steadfast people I have ever known. Her son, already walking in her light, seems to be surpassing even his remarkable mother in spirit and cool.

Imani and I met in the Navy nearly fifteen years ago, and from that moment on, she has been family. Through every season of life, she has stood beside me — unwavering, grounded, and true.

Today, Imani needs us to stand by her. Despite her strength, compassion, and lifelong service to others, she is facing immense financial hardship brought on by ongoing legal battles. Her legal fees have been exacerbated by a deeply biased court system and the racist ideals of her child’s father, leaving her in a position no mother — no woman — should have to fight alone.

Imani is a holistic healer, counselor, advocate, activist, welder, mother, and veteran. She has spent her life lifting others, nurturing her community, and raising a strong, intelligent, and compassionate child. Now it’s our turn to help lift her.
