Amanda Schneider
Donation protected
It’s with great sadness that we lost Amanda, partner to Wayne, mother to angel Jai, and three other beautiful, young children Brittnei, Imogen and Flynn. Daughter of Phil and sister to Chris, Melissa, and Jason.
Amanda had a nine year battle with Primary Billary Cholangitis (PVC). PVC caused severe osteoporosis which resulted in many painful fractures. In the last two years her liver began to fail. Amanda had three admissions to intensive care and two lengthy hospital stays at Blacktown Hospital. On the third admission into RPA for a feeding tube to gain strength and undertake her assessment workup to go onto the liver transplant list, Amanda unexpectedly had a cardiac arrest and was placed on life-support where we were informed that Amanda would not survive. In a bizarre twist of Amanda needing a liver transplant, unknown to us, Amanda had registered to be an organ donor. After a lengthy 24 hours, Amanda was removed from life support in the presence of the family. She passed away peacefully on the 14th of the June 2025 and was able to donate 4 organs to 4 people. Amanda was the most kind hearted, giving person we know and continued to give after death.
With Amanda being so generous, we ask that if you can, you support the Schneider family during this incredibly difficult time.
