Their Story

Everything changed in a single, devastating day when my brother and sister-in-law lost their home to a terrible fire. In just a few minutes, everything they had — their clothing, treasured household items, and meaningful collectibles — was completely destroyed. The pain and shock of losing so much so suddenly is impossible to put into words. My brother is a disabled veteran who spent decades driving a semi truck to provide for his family, while my sister-in-law has dedicated over 30 years to working in production at a local medical device company. They have always worked hard for what they have, but now they need your support to meet their most basic needs. Any help you can offer would mean the world to them during this difficult time.

Why They Need Your Help

While they had some insurance, they were severely underinsured and the coverage will not come close to replacing what they have lost, let alone providing a safe place to live during the long process of rebuilding. The most immediate and pressing need is for a place to call home. They have found a travel trailer that will serve as a safe and secure option that will allow them to live together and begin the process of healing and recovery. However, they cannot afford this on their own and need our support to make it possible.

We are reaching out to our community, friends, family, and anyone who can help to raise the funds needed to purchase a travel trailer/ camper which they can park at their homestead until the insurance is settled (which could be 4-6 months from what they are being told). Every dollar donated will go directly toward this essential purchase, and if we are blessed with extra, those funds will help them replace basic necessities, including clothing, kitchen items, pet food and all of those other necessities that you don't realize that you need until you do not have them.
