My neighbor, Lynn, is a Marine Veteran who lost her spouse suddenly 2 years ago at the age of 66 leaving her emotionally incapable of functioning. After finding her spouse dead just shy of their 25th anniversary, she suffered severe shock and PTSD since it was more than she could bear. About 8 months ago a medical condition has now left her currently wheelchair bound. After trying to survive these horrid experiences, she is now having to sell her home and move into a handicap accessible apartment.
Due to her now single income over the past two years, she has no money left to actually move with. There is a large barn needing to be cleaned out along with downsizing from a 1500 sq ft home to a 700 sq ft apartment. Dumpsters need to be rented and people hired to clear out anything she cannot take. A moving truck to be rented, hired help to actually move and Security deposit for the new apartment.
Time is of the essence as the home will be listed shortly. Every dollar counts and I/we appreciate all the help we can get. She is a sweet lady who would help anyone she could and I'm hoping those out there can now help her. She is truly grateful for any help she can get.
