Support for Standing Rock

Donation protected
I have struggled with the decision on whether or not to travel to Standing Rock and if it is in the highest good of the Protectors who are out there for the long haul even though I have been deeply called to go and help for months.  Well, nothing seems like a more appropriate way to spend the holiday where we celebrate the genocide of the original citizens of this land we call home.  It is uncomfortable for me to ask for donations but if this is a cause that you feel passionately about and want to help but can't go physically, please consider donating any amount you feel called to as it will go directly to helping the water Protectors.  We want to make this trip as helpful and worth while to those on the front lines fighting and praying for this cause as possible.  It has become difficult for the Protectors to access donations sent through online campaigns so hand delivery is the best way of donating.  If you can't help monetarily I will also be accepting any supplies you wish to donate (if we can arrange to meet up by Tuesday) so we can pack the car full of as much things that will be helpful as possible.  This includes wood, wool and down gear, and non-perishable food. Please send me a message if you would like to arrange to get supplies to me before Wednesday when we will be departing. We are looking forward to putting in hard labor for the short amount of time that we will be there to help winterize the camps as well as help prepare and serve food.  Energy Transfer Partners (the company that owns DAPL) has promised it's investors that oil will be running through the pipeline by January 1st.  If the protectors can hold off construction until then, there is a good chance that investors will divest in the project as it will become too costly to go forward.  The success of this movement is so important on so many levels.  We need to help support the Sioux tribe and all indigenous nations of this country who are unting in North Dakota so they can endure the harsh conditions of Winter and make this success possible.  I believe we can make it happen! Thank you for reading and any support even if just in Spirit! Mni Wiconi!
