Natasha's Angels

About the GoFundMe:

Natasha,  a selfless single mother whose goal in life was the same as any other parent, to do everything she possibly could to provide for her children and make them happy. Unfortunately, life had other plans for her. On the 30th of May 2020, Natasha left this earth at the mere age of 48. This GoFundMe is set up in honor of Natasha. All of the proceeds will go to her two children (6 y.o. and 21 y.o.) that are now living alone, while her oldest son (21)  is trying to do the best he can to manage the death of his mother and his enormous newfound responsibility. The money raised will be used to help sustain her children during this terrible time (food, gas, rent, etc.).  Considering the current events and pandemic that have taken place over the past few months, we understand that these are difficult times for everyone. We would be grateful for any donation that you are able to provide, or if you would like to help in another way (non-monetary) please reach out to us. Please continue below to read more about Natasha's story written by a friend.

Natasha's Story:

Farewell My Friends
“It was beautiful as long as it lasted, the journey of my life…
…I smile and bid you goodbye.
No, shed no tears for I need them not.
All I need is your smile.”

First and foremost, Natasha was passionate about being the best mother she could be for her children. She was a homebody and enjoyed being at home with her boys. Cooking for and with them was at times the highlight of her day. When she was not at home or working, you could find Natasha on the road, off to visit her Uncle in Pennsylvania, whom she loved dearly.

Natasha loved caring for our residents here at Sunrise of Severna Park. But she cared not just for our residents, she cared for the entire team. A strong team that she built up to care for our Residents and the team itself.

In her free time, Natasha enjoyed listening to music, reading, and socializing with distant family and friends. Natasha embraced the principles of service in the medical field soon after graduating from South East London College in the United Kingdom. From there she worked as a Night Nurse Supervisor in Ellicott City, Maryland. The stepping stones on her path to Sunrise included working as a schedule and staffing coordinator, Medication Assistant, and Unit Manager for Harmony Hall; then as a Medical Site Reviewer/Recruiter in Annapolis. Next, she was a client service manager and then a consultant for Gimper Gentle Caregivers before arriving at Sunrise of Severna Park. Natasha joined the team as the
Reminiscence Coordinator almost five years ago. She rolled up her sleeves and met the daily challenges head-on. First, was building a strong cohesive team that was ready to follow her leadership in building change. She did a remarkable job putting her heart and soul into her residents and staff. When we think of all the times we spent together, I’d like to leave you with these words:

“Do not feel guilty for living,
When I have passed away,
Keep smiling, laughing, playing,
And do this every day.”
