The PCA youth group, “Kingdom Demonstrators” returned to the U.S. safely from our wonderfully successful mission trip to Jamaica last summer. All twenty-two (22) of us had some of the most remarkable and blessed experiences of our lives. We all gained so much from our experiences, which included but not limited to travelling to various parishes, evangelism in the rural areas, street walking, visiting the local schools, doing local service projects, visiting various churches, local girls’ homes, leading youth group meetings, and sharing our own faith life testimonies with the local people of Jamaica.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of our silent partners who made this trip possible. We cannot thank you enough for your generous donations, as well as all of your prayers and support. Because of your support, we were able to take advantage of this opportunity! You have helped to make our mission more powerful and possible! In this way, you, too, are a missionary!
The global statistics on poverty are overwhelming. Sadly, the children are the ones affected the most. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. About 72 million children of primary school age in the developing world were not in school in 2005; 57 % of them were girls. Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names. When we ensure that children have access to quality education, we create a ripple effect of opportunity that impacts generations. The need to help others has never been greater around the globe. Throughout our global community, at least 4 billion people suffer every day from poverty, hunger, and disease and Jamaica is no exception.
We promised that we will continue to CHAMPION THE CAUSE OF THE POOR AND NEEDY and finish the work that we started. Our promise to the underprivileged children in that region, is that we will renovate, rebuild and paint the entire school building. We will provide new desks, a library, computers, paint, school supplies etc.
We are appealing for your help and support to help us to fulfill our promise to “Champion the cause of the poor and needy – Project Jamaica”. Your generous donation is needed to provide the vital support the children of Jamaica need to rebuild their lives. We are a Section 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
