MY good friend is a dedicated dad and hard-working tradie, very much loved by his blood family in the UK and his extended family in Australia. He is currently going through a very difficult time while caring full-time for his two young children. He is navigating legal proceedings and investigation by child services. Because of the urgent need to prioritize the children's emotional well-being and safety, he has had to significantly reduce his working hours, resulting in a drastic change to his financial situation as court proceedings continue against his ex-partner and child protection completes their investigation. With full support from his long-term girlfriend and her family, he is providing the children with the secure and loving home life they so desperately need.

The children are attending a new school where they are happy and have made new friends. They both have certificates for attendance and "Student of the Week." They’ve enjoyed extra activities, including swimming and learning to play musical instruments. It is felt that the children would benefit from counselling, as they have been through a very difficult and unsettling time,. With everyday expenses building up and legal support needed, it is becoming an issue, especially with increased time off work to attend court proceedings regarding the safety of his family. It has become clear that he needs a little help from the community.

I am seeking help in raising $2,000 to cover the cost of any type of counselling/ therapy or anything else that will benefit the well being of the children including any extra activities either in or out of school as the children’s wellbeing and happiness is the main priority at this time. Any amount raised above this will go toward any legal support needed. This is a deeply personal and sensitive situation, so while we are not sharing the full details out of respect for all involved, please know that your kind contributions will be massively appreciated, no matter how small. It will make a real difference.
