I am putting this together for Lauren and Jonathan DePriest to assist with medical bills and living expenses. Please see below from Lauren. If you can help in any way, I know it would certainly be appreciated. They really didn't want to ask for help, but they are really in a tight position right now as they didn't have medical insurance and he's facing a long road ahead without the ability to work for another 8 weeks.

"As many of you know, Jonathan was injured on June 24th due to a table saw accident. He was sent to the nearest hospital, where they felt the need to send him to New Orleans. Once in New Orleans, they realized his finger could not be saved and planned to do a procedure in the ER room to “help” him. Mind you, he’s the only patient without a cop or cuffs! At 11, we were released with instructions on how to heal the hand. By 1:00 A.M., we have a room in Gonzales. Jonathan saw and watched everything except for the “procedure” and the outcome of what they did. The next morning he finally got to see it. It was something out of a movie! I knew it shouldn’t have looked like that. But I had to stay on his side. It was heartbreaking to watch my husband, a grown man, cry out, “this is fixed?!” I knew it was wrong. On Monday, we called and got right in. The Dr was not impressed at all, and everything we were told to do was wrong. Dr was up in the air because of the status of it all, and well, we have no insurance, so that makes this a whole new ball game. We decided to wait and see what would happen with the antibiotics and new cleaning process. As of today June 30th he needs surgery within a week. Clean up (from what New Orleans did), a pin in the pointer, reconstructions, repair, and more removed from the ring finger."
