Mental Health Volunteering in Bali
Donation protected
On July 6th 2025, I'll be volunteering for 4 weeks with Think Pacific on their Mental Health Project!
The project involves collaborating with local mental health professionals to deliver psycho-social activities, aimed at supporting the mental health and wellbeing of local residents. Every individual is unique, and so are their struggles; this is reflected in the range of people I will be supporting - from children to the elderly, and with a range of needs, such as autism and schizophrenia.
The project fee is £1,895 (covering things such as accommodation, and placement materials), plus additional costs such as flights, insurance, registration fee, visa, and food. I am lucky enough to have some funding from my university, but Think Pacific encourages volunteers to fundraise towards the additional costs which they estimate at around £1,860. Fundraising will in turn help to spread awareness for such an important cause
For every £1 raised I will be rowing 100 metres in the gym (as someone who predominantly trains in a powerlifting style, cardio is definitely not my strong point but the cause will make it absolutely worth it.) I will post updates to show the progress made as donations are received
Additionally, I will be donating my hair to a charity (TBD) that creates wigs for individuals experiencing medical hair loss. This will be my 5th time doing so, but this time I will be using this as an opportunity to raise awareness for Think Pacific's crucial work
All donations and shares will be massively appreciated!
