Step By Step

Tax deductible
I feel very grateful that I was able to start dancing at the age of 4 as it has become my greatest passion in life. My desire to spread this art form to others continues to grow more and more everyday. Not only does dance have a great physical benefit, but it also has shown improvements in mental health. It increases confidence, happiness, creativity, teamwork, and empathy, while decreasing social anxiety, depression, loneliness and other negative factors many kids and teenagers suffer with, especially in today's world. Dance greatly benefits humanity by resulting in more well rounded, happy, and healthy kids. I feel so fortunate to have dance be such an immense part of my life and I hope sharing my love for it can change other people's lives as well.

For the past 2 years I have been teaching dance around my community. I volunteer at the YWCA running their creative dance program, I am also involved in my school; Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Summer Outreach Program by creating a dance elective for the kids. Lastly, I assist classes at the studio I attend. Teaching and spreading my love for this art fulfills my heart and I wanted to grow this journey by creating Step By Step, involving myself in my home country, Argentina. In the fall I collected dance attire with the help of my studio “Greenwich Dance Studio” and traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina. There I had the most wonderful experience donating the costumes and teaching a dance class to the kids who are part of an organization that helps underprivileged Argentine families, “Pequeños Pasos”.

Thanks to your generosity in February we were able to hire a teacher and start the dance program. We provide the kids with dance classes every Friday, meals, and nutritionists and social workers, who ensure their well-being and development. The children are incredibly happy and engaged with the program and it is very important as it keeps them off the streets and the daily danger; it gives them an opportunity to put their worries aside and simply gives them a reason to smile, play, and dream. In order to continue this program over time help is still needed. Thank you in advance for any contributions you can give; it will be greatly appreciated by the kids and me and most importantly, will immensely change their lives! Step by Step we can make a difference in the world!
