On Sunday 30th June my beautiful big sister and best friend Linzi first went into hospital with what is now known to have been a vertebral artery dissection (essentially a tear in the artery in her neck) which was misdiagnosed as migraines later causing a blood clot in her brain and at some point last week an ischaemic stroke. She is still being monitored closely however it is currently unknown what damage this has permanent caused to her brain and how long it will take her to recover/if fully.

Prior to this my she was a 29 year old happy and healthy single mum to my 6 year old nephew Leon and had her own successful cleaning business down in Ayr. Right now it is currently unknown if and when Linzi would be able to return to her job and as a family we will do everything in our power to support both her and Leon but I would love to be able to take away financial pressure for her over the next few months and allow her to focus on recovery when she is well enough to do so.

I really have to swallow my pride with this but I will do everything in my power to support them and I wouldn’t wish any other young Mum to be feeling the worries she currently has.
