Eswatini Trip 2026 – Helping Us Feed Families in Need with the BBC - the Buckswood Breakfast Club !

Dear Buckswood Family,

As we prepare for our Eswatini Trip 2026, we once again ask the wider Buckswood family to come together and support one of the most important parts of the journey – giving back to the communities and homesteads that welcome us so warmly each year.

This year, we are specifically raising funds to purchase food supplies for families in need, with every donation going directly towards buying bags of maize for local communities. Last year, through your incredible generosity, we were able to purchase and distribute 50 bags of 50kg maize. For many families, this was not simply food – it was a true blessing. It provided a little breathing space, a chance to save what little they had, regroup, and carry on through difficult times.

We fully appreciate that times are hard for many people at the moment, but even a donation of £10 can help feed a family and make a genuine difference to someone’s life.

What makes this so special is that our students personally deliver the food to the homesteads. They see first-hand the realities and challenges some families face. It teaches our young people something that cannot be learnt in a classroom – compassion, humility, gratitude, and the true emotion of giving to others without expecting anything in return. These are life lessons that stay with them forever.

Over the years, the generosity shown by the Buckswood community has been truly remarkable, and we thank you sincerely for your continued support.
