Law enforcement commonly pulls over drivers -- especially minority and marginalized people -- after spotting damaged or burned-out brake lights. Repairing these lights can help folks avoid an encounter that could lead to fines, incarceration, even immigration consequences.
Pioneer Valley Democratic Socialists of America (PVDSA) is organizing free brake light repair clinics in the Pioneer Valley, starting in May 2018. For free, volunteers will replace and repair brake lights for anyone in need. The funds from this campaign will go towards materials, tools, and other supplies to make our first brake light clinic possible. Any funds and materials left over from the first clinic, or any funds in excess of our goal, will be used for further brake light clinics in the area. Thanks for donating!
