Hi, my name is Julie and I am organizing this fundraiser for my brother, Gil. He was born with a rare birth defect, sacral agenesis. While he lives with complex disabilities he has fought hard to maintain his independence. He is known to all as a loyal friend, brother, son and artist. Gil"s disability has meant he lives on his social security with very little left over for big expenses. Recently his health has declined due to a serious heart condition. I am asking for any contributions people might generously donate to making some renovations at his place to add a stairlift. Stairlifts are not covered by Medicare and the grants we have found typically cover veterans only. It is humbling to ask for help but he really needs this and will use it daily.
