Susie Lachal, runs a program called ‘Teacher across Borders’ in a small town called Kampong Thom in Cambodia every year. Gus, Paddy and I, have been and volunteered and have all had such amazing experiences.
A few years ago, when I went to Cambodia, I met some children at a primary school who I became quite close with. They took me to their village, introduced me to their family and showed me into their home. Their house was a few pieces of wood holding up a roof, with absolutely no furniture and only the single room. We gave them a solar powered light which we knew would change their lives. (Cover Photo)
Unfortunately now, the mother and father of the children have died, leaving them as orphans. The girl (12) has been sent to Thailand to work in order to provide for her brothers, however, the circumstances of her work have not yet been identified…
The other boys (7 and 9)have been sent away to become monks, therefore no longer receive an education as well as being separated from one another.
We would like nothing more than to get these children back together and out of these horrible circumstances. Therefore, we’d love if you to Join us on the 2nd of June at the Yorkshire Stingo, for some great music, raffles, auctions and more, so we can help these children and support all students at Propel Primary School Cambodia.
Please donate to this great cause to help reuntite these children and support them.
