Purses with a Purpose, helping homeless women

I am JanMarie Weston, American Woman of Service Senior 2024. Among the many community projects I am working on is "Purses with a Purpose". With this project I am collecting used ladies' purses, filling them with personal and sanitary items as well as snacks, then distributing them to homeless women in several towns in Connecticut. Though I have received many purses from donors, I am in need of funds to purchase the items to fill those purses. Your donation will be used to purchase sanitary products (tampons and pads), shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, combs and hairbrushes, disposable razors, and a variety of snacks. Your donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in a woman's life.

My goal is collect 100 purses, at this point I have collected nearly 60 and a variety of items to fill them.
