PUMPKIN PARENT PACKS

 

In memory of my daughter Lydia.

 

Early hours of 29th may 2021, Lydia was admitted to Sheffield children’s hospital paediatric intensive care unit, where she spent her last week of life.

 

I had no essential items for either of us, so no charger, no wash bag, no clothes, nothing. We were over 2 hours away from home, and I don’t drive. I was by my daughters bedside and didn’t want to leave her. But I had to venture into Sheffield using public transport and leave my daughter to go and buy essential items for us both. This was heartbreaking. This is where the idea of the Pumpkin Parent Pack came from.

 

I raise funds to make Pumpkin Parent Packs (bags of essentials), for those who find themselves in a similar situation to me. And hopefully it will help ease the stress and anxiety of having to leave a poorly child alone. All pumpkin Parent Packs will be donated to the children’s intensive care units across the uk.

 

Lydia has beautiful red hair, and I called her my little pumpkin princess. Xxxx
