Puka Up's Cycle or Change 2022

Mental health advocacy is incredibly important to me ...
So this November, I'll be joining riders in PukaUp's Cycle for Change - a 313.9km ride over three days to continue raising awareness about the epidemic of suicide in Australia and the importance for each of us to take responsibility for looking after our mental wellbeing.
Why 313.9km? We are honouring the 3139 people who died by suicide in 2020 and their loved ones left behind.
More than 65,000 Australians attempt suicide every year - it's the leading cause of death for people aged 15-44.
Sponsorship for the ride is $3889, which covers event staging costs, accommodation, meals, cycling kit, and clothing.
The balance of funds will be invested in PukaUp's advocacy and awareness campaigns, including their social media strategy and expanding their face-to-face and virtual wellbeing presentations nationally.
100% of additional funds raised will be invested into Foundations of Wellbeing - PukaUp's newly launched course, created in partnership with the University of Melbourne's Centre for Wellbeing Science. It's an evidence-based mental health course that teaches participants how to prioritise and care for their wellbeing
