Walking Together for Wakefield

On Saturday 10th October, we’re coming together at Pugneys Country Park for a sponsored walk to raise money for two fantastic local organisations: Wakefield Care Association and Memory Action Group.

Every penny raised will be split equally between the two organisations.

Supporting Wakefield Care Association

Wakefield Care Association is at the very beginning of its journey, with an ambition to bring people and organisations across Wakefield’s care sector together.

It aims to create a stronger, more connected care community where providers can share knowledge, develop best practice and access training and professional development.

By supporting this walk, you’ll be helping the Association take its first steps, establish itself and build strong foundations for the future.

Supporting Memory Action Group

Memory Action Group provides invaluable support to people living with dementia and their carers, families and loved ones.

Through friendship, support and opportunities to connect, it helps reduce isolation and enables people affected by dementia to live as happy and fulfilled a life as possible.

Every step makes a difference

Our walkers will complete between one and five laps of Pugneys Country Park. Some will be taking on a personal challenge, while others will simply be walking to support two causes that mean so much to our community.

However far we walk, every step will have a purpose.
