Hi everyone, as I’m sure all who comes across this are well aware of just how destructive the recent Hurricane Ida was to many. Unfortunately, my sister and her husband were greatly impacted. They live just a few houses down from Lake Pontchartrain and on August 30th they came home to about 10 inches of water in their home. Being that most of our family lives in Lafayette it was hard to get to them in a timely manner. So my expecting sister and her husband moved every single thing out of their house by themselves and when my family got there they immediately started the gutting process. As if this whole situation wasn’t enough, they did not have flood insurance (due to high cost and the doubt of an instance like such). Then, as they opened the walls they found preexisting damages from previous owners that did not properly repair water damages. Things such as rotten wood, rusted copper pipes, and more. With all this being said, my sister (a groomer) and her husband (a teacher) are so hard working and strive to provide a safe environment for their baby on the way and their three rescue fur-babies. Our whole family is standing behind them and have all been helping out SO MUCH in any and every way, but as you can imagine anything can help. But MOST importantly they are safe! Now it’s time to get them back on their feet and be able to enjoy their incoming addition! Any donation will be much appreciated!
I got approval to post this and all donations will funnel directly into their bank account! I set the goal at $100 because I had to set it at something but there is really no goal…there is just a family that could use some help! Thank you!
