Service Trip to Belize!

Hello! My name is Bridget Scaglione and I am a first year Doctor of Physical Therapist student at High Point University! This year, I will be traveling to San Ignacio, Belize to provide physical therapy services to the community. This will be a great experience for me to gain clinical skills hands on with the local population, who do no have access to physical therapy. Most parts of the United States is littered with physical therapy clinics throughout town to provide the community with an essential component of fundamental health care. San Ignacio, Belize, on the other hand does not have this accessibility to physical therapy in their community. My goal, along with my classmates and professors, is to aid the community through our clinic, as well as to assist in my personal clinical skill development. This trip will have a lasting impact on my career as a physical therapist, and I cannot wait to experience the culture of the local population and see Belize! Any help in funding my trip is greatly appreciated!
