£10 for Tanzania

My name is Pip Deave, physiotherapist from Viney Hall, and I’m asking for contributions to help some of the people I will encounter during my visit to Tanzania. I am travelling with my friend Peta Moffat and visiting Issenye High school in North West Tanzania. It is a Church of England boarding school on a remote plateau, providing quality education for children from poor rural communities. Peta has been involved with this school since 1999.
As well as spending time at the school, we plan to visit a safe house where girls can go to escape FGM, and also some key environmental projects.
Some small donations would be very welcome to help pay for some items we are taking out with us such as period pants for the girls and glasses for the elderly. We will identify other needs when we are there and it would be great to help these people less fortunate than ourselves.
I hope to be able to write a blog to let all our friends, family and other donors know where the money goes.
Any donations would be gratefully received and don’t have to be £10 - more or less is great - it’s just that ten pounds for Tanzania trips off the tongue! Be assured you can trust us to spend the money where it is really needed.
Thank you so much. Asante Sana!
