Prutha's Mission Trip to India 2018

If you are reading this, you have expressed an interest in donating towards my cause, which is an opportunity like no other. I will be travelling to Rajasthan, India; a culturally rich location which reflects the ancient traditions of India, on a ME to WE Trip. I am Indian, and I am most definitely excited to go on this trip, as I am giving back to India on a global scale.
About My ME to WE Mission Trip
The trip that I have decided to embark on is a life-changing opportunity that is offered to me by ME to WE Missions. It is an experience that will raise awareness for Women's Empowerment, empower me to become a concerned global citizen, develop me as a leader in my community, and provide me with the tools to change lives.
I will be leaving for this trip on August 2 2018 and returning home on August 18 2018, a duration of 16 days. The destination is Rajasthan, India.
Since I am very passionate about making a change locally as well as globally, I will be diligently fundraising for my trip. This will allow me to raise funds to support the trip cost and more importantly I will be able to share my passion and enthusiasm for creating positive change in the world with my community.
About ME to WE
ME to WE is a social enterprise and each ME to WE Trip takes place in a community where their charity partner, WE Charity, puts its 20-year history of holistic and sustainable development to work. Half of their profits are donated to WE Charity – helping make an even bigger impact on the community that I will be visiting in the near future.
The total cost of the trip is $5,595.00 and this includes all expenses – airfare, guides, facilitators and leadership programming, safety measures, accommodations, and meals.
My Diligent Fundraising Efforts
In order to fundraise the cost of the trip, I will be holding silent auctions, selling donated goods, performing henna tattoos at various local events, and much, much more. Henna for Hands is a small business that I initiated to help with fundraising for this trip. How Your Contribution Helps
I greatly appreciate any contributions to my fundraising efforts, as they help make this opportunity a reality for me. I hope that you will take the time and consideration to donate towards my trip, as it is a golden opportunity for me to give back to the global community as well as empower women.
My ME to WE Trip will allow me to:
-> Make a positive impact volunteering on WE Villages development projects that support one of the five pillars (clean water, food security, education, health, or opportunity).
-> Connect with learners and leaders from a different country; expanding their worldview as they’re introduced to different cultures, languages, and customs.
-> Be part of the solution, gaining a deeper understanding of social justice and development issues by engaging in leadership trainings, skill-building workshops, and designing an action plan to follow suit
Furthermore, I would like to extend my gratitude to all organizations, persons, as well as corporations that are supporting or considering supporting my trip.
Upon donating, I am able to give you a receipt to confirm your generous support towards my trip. But since ME to WE is not considered a charity, I am unfortunately unable to provide you with a tax reciept.
