In October 2016, we went on a volunteer trip to China through Children's Home Society of Minnesota. We spent a week in an orphanage getting to know a group of children, their circumstances, and what makes each of them special. With no expectations going into the trip, we knew by day 3 we were going to bring two boys home!
It has been impossible to miss God's plan in all this. We were called to travel to China, without which, we (or anyone else for that matter) would never have known that these two boys have been together in the orphanage since birth. At ages 10 and 11, keeping them together was a simple decision.
Thank you so much for your help. If nothing else, please keep us in your prayers for a smooth and safe process. As of late March, we have our provisional approvals from China and the United States. We are currently working on certification and authentication, and final review by China and the US. We are hopeful to bring the boys home this summer!
