Providing firewood for Navajo widows.
Donation protected
Good Morning!
Last year my friend Ed & I headed to New Mexico to cut, split & deliver firewood to some of the many Navajo widows who were in need in Northwest New Mexico. Because of the success of last year's trip we are planning on a much bigger delivery than last year! This time we have decided to take hardwood logs from Missouri, three pick-up trucks & trailers full, to New Mexico where we will cut, split & deliver this much-needed resource to some of the many widows & families in need on the reservation. These hardwoods from Missouri will burn longer and provide more heat than the pine logs folks in that part of the world are used to burning.
My friend Ed, who I do volunteer work with, has been cutting and providing free firewood to seniors & others in need here in Southwest Missouri for many, many years through his missions work and his non-profit SURV (Strengthen Utilize Respond Volunteer). Over the past 10 years Ed has delivered over 1200 loads of firewood to those in need in Southwest Missouri! Joining us this year for our next trip to New Mexico, starting December 11, will be another fellow volunteer, Buddy.
I have started this GoFundMe page asking you for your partnership & any financial donations you would be willing to make to help offset our travel expenses. No donation is too big or too small! This would be a perfect opportunity to Give-Back and spread a little kindness to the widows & families in need on the Navajo reservation north of Gallup, NM. Working with local leaders we will make sure these loads of firewood are strategically delivered to those most in need. Thanks in advance for your generosity and for helping spread a little kindness in this crazy world we are living in!!!
