First Families Now is located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, in the US's poorest socio-economic county. The unpredictability of the SNAP program brings a dangerously increased rate of food insecurity, where 85% of our families depend on subsidies for their families. We want to provide as many families as possible with much-needed nutritious food that they can share with their families.
