Hello, my name is Kimie Ross and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friends and their incredible son, Milo. Milo is a bright, energetic, and resilient child who is soon to celebrate his 6th birthday. Our sweet boy has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and while he brings immense joy and light to everyone around him, he also faces daily challenges that can be overwhelming for such a young child.

A Military Family’s Journey

Milo’s father is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, and his mother is also a proud USMC veteran. Their commitment to our country has meant frequent relocations, which, while part of military life, present unique challenges for Milo. Each move requires him to be re-evaluated and established as a new patient for occupational therapy, disrupting the continuity of care that’s so vital for his development.

Understanding Milo’s Needs

Milo experiences significant sensory processing difficulties, which often lead to anxiety, restlessness, and meltdowns. After extensive research and consultations with occupational therapists, we’ve discovered the Boundex Cuddle Box—a therapeutic tool designed specifically to support children like Milo.

The Boundex Cuddle Box is a 51” x 51” x 34” steel frame wrapped in layers of stretchy, responsive Lycra. It provides a unique sensory-motor experience that encourages full-body movement, promotes core strength, and offers calming deep-pressure input. This safe and engaging space can help Milo develop better balance, coordination, and emotional regulation, making everyday activities more manageable and enjoyable for him.

Our Goal: $875

The cost of the Boundex Cuddle Box is $499.99. To ensure its longevity and continuous benefit for Milo, we’re aiming to raise $875. This amount will cover:

• Two sets of replacement parts: $298.00

• Taxes and Fees: $55.86

Having replacement parts on hand ensures that if any damage occurs, Milo won’t have to wait for repairs, maintaining his access to this essential tool.

Insurance Limitations

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the Boundex Cuddle Box, nor does it assist with the safe sleep system Milo will require in the future. Any excess funds from this campaign will be allocated towards purchasing a safe sleep system, ensuring Milo’s safety and comfort during rest.
