Nada's Story

Hello, I am Nada from Gaza, I am 15 years old, my family consists of 6 people. I was studying in the ninth grade, but this dreadful war came and I did not complete my studies because of it. All our goals and ambitions stopped, my house was destroyed and they displaced us from our home. I spent most of my childhood and youth in wars. Here in Gaza, there is no future, there is no security for me and my family. At any time, our lives could end. There is no good food or water. There is no life except fear and terror. We live a very difficult life. We need to survive, me and my family, from this war. Whoever wants to help me can donate through my GoFundMe link to save our lives. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Anita and I'm fundraising on behalf of my friend Nada Alnajaar (15) and her aunt Sawsan Alnajaar (41). I have gotten to know Nada well and her story breaks my heart. She lost her very dear friend due to this crisis and spends her days sitting outside in the hot sun. She was separated from the rest of her family who are also displaced in a different area. In her old life before the war took everything from her, she enjoyed making coffee in the mornings and seeing her friends. We connected over our love of nature, and upon hearing her story I knew I had to help somehow. I hope you will consider helping too!

While the border is closed and evacuation is not possible, funds will be used to provide supplies for survival and to ease the traumatic stress and terror from this war. Specifically, the funds will be used to pay for food, water, clothing, bedding, toiletries, medicine, and other such supplies, which have astronomically increased in price if they are available at all. Nada does not even have a mattress or blanket to sleep on and instead sleeps on the floor of their tent. During the day, she sits outside the tent due to the heat and because there is nothing else to do. But winter is fast approaching, and she will need warmer clothes and a blanket soon.
