Hi, I'm Rachel and I run the Coeden Bywyd Horse Project. We are a small not for profit project that works with challenged young people and a herd of five horses and ponies who provide a safe place for these young people to come and learn about respecting horses, themselves and others. We provide a mentoring and well-being programme that builds confidence, resilience, resourcefulness, belief in themselves and provides a place to belong.

All the project's sessions are offered free of charge as we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to come to the horse project regardless of their ability to pay.

I am planning to do a 12 Hour Horse Walkathon on Saturday 20 September to raise money to provide hay for the horses this winter. Starting at 8 am, I will walk one of the horses every hour until 8 pm! Some of the young people who regularly attend the project are planning to join in at different points during the day.

These horses and ponies do an amazing job and make such a difference to the lives of the young people who come to the project. Please help us give them a happy winter of hay!
