<div>Hi, I'm Rachel and I run the Coeden Bywyd Horse Project. We are a small not for profit project that works with challenged young people and a herd of five horses and ponies who provide a safe place for these young people to come and learn about respecting horses, themselves and others. We provide a mentoring and well-being programme that builds confidence, resilience, resourcefulness, belief in themselves and provides a place to belong.
</div>
<div>All the project's sessions are offered free of charge as we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to come to the horse project regardless of their ability to pay.
</div>
<div>I am planning to do a 12 Hour Horse Walkathon on Saturday 20 September to raise money to provide hay for the horses this winter. Starting at 8 am, I will walk one of the horses every hour until 8 pm! Some of the young people who regularly attend the project are planning to join in at different points during the day.
</div>
<div>These horses and ponies do an amazing job and make such a difference to the lives of the young people who come to the project. Please help us give them a happy winter of hay!
