Hello, my name is Daniel Ortega and I am a high school senior in California. I am currently raising money for a volunteer trip to aid in the preservation of our beautiful oceans. The money will be used to help me get to Thailand  so I can participate in ocean volunteer work with GVI for two months to help produce artificial reefs, document the various species of fish, record their population, etc.

The oceans have always meant a lot to me since I was young. I have had my scuba license since I was 12 years old and am a rescue diver. My Eagle  Scout project was an underwater beach cleanup in Southern California. I'm interested in projects that protect our  oceans and the organisms that reside therein for future generations to see and enjoy as I have been able to. Getting funds to do this conservation trip will be greatly appreciated.
