UPDATE:
Aloha and thank you for stopping by!! With a lot of saving, sacrifice, faith and the grace of God, I’ve been able to come up with my hefty retainer for my new attorney.
I sincerely thank each and every one of you for checking in on us, praying for us, donating and sharing our story.
Although I’ve been able to cover the costs to retain my new attorney, my fight for custody and the need for funds is far from over. My next step is coming up with funds to pay for the needed evaluations in this case, which are also quite expensive.
I’ve updated the desires goal to reflect the amount needed to cover majority of my new costs.
Please continue to help me by donating if you can and sharing if you can’t. The power of networking and sharing our story helps to reach the hearts of those who feel us, hear us and want to help us.
September 12, 2022 was the three year anniversary of the horrific events that took place in our home. Healing for my children and I throughout this journey has been our ultimate goal. I can only hope that as a mother, I can continue to keep my daughter safe. I appreciate you all and please, please help me share.
Thank you,
Julie, just a mom protecting her baby girl and I will never back down.

Aloha! I’m Julie and the blessed mama to two amazing daughters, Reighen (17) and Peighton (6). And I am about to FIGHT THE BIGGEST BATTLE OF MY LIFE as I seek full custody of my youngest daughter, Peighton.
My seven-year, often abusive, relationship with my youngest daughter’s father, “Jay,” abruptly came to an end in September of 2019. I filed for an Order of Protection (TRO) and divorce from Jay the morning after catching him watch my oldest daughter, Reighen, shower. Reighen was just 14 years old at the time.
Jay had carefully planned a series of events that forced Reighen to shower in our master bathroom. It was the only bathroom in the house with a window. After having my own suspicions for weeks and after being tipped off by a neighbor, I caught Jay standing up on a ladder, in the dark backyard, peeping through the window violating my daughter’s privacy as he watched her nude and bathing for his own desires.
After catching Jay in the act, he became aggressive, backed me into a corner and delivered a violent head butt to my face that resulted in a broken nose. Our three year old daughter, Peighton, witnessed.
A few weeks before that, Jay had attempted to rape me.
And for months before that, I was certain that our then-preschooler, Peighton, was being molested.
Shortly after the September 2019 bathroom incident, two woman came forward stating that Jay had raped them in the early 2000s. One woman was willing to make a police report, but due to stature of limitations, no criminal charges were filed.
Jay faced several criminal charges for his actions against Reighen and I, but they were reduced in a plea bargain with the state. The terms of his probabtion include sex offender assessment and treatment, but he did not have to register as a sex offender.
Fast forward to today, and I’m preparing to face a complex and difficult battle for full custody of Peighton.
I will have to pay for attorney and legal fees and costs that include a trial and possibly a team of specialists to investigate what is it Peighton’s best interests.
My request is to be able to continue my fight as a mother protecting my children. I need to ensure that my children are safe and protected from the evil that lurks in the night. I need to be able to protect and preserve their innocence for the rest of their childhood
My goal when this entire ordeal is over is to publish a book about sex abuse in a family. I want to speak about sex abuse in schools and educate children who may be victims in their own homes. I want to share our story so that another child suffering at home can find their voice to protect themselves. I want woman and children who are afraid of speaking up to know that they are not alone and there is help for them.
Protect the child first always. Anything you can give us is more than greatly appreciated. I thank you for taking the time to our story. God is good.. all the time!
I know this is huge a huge amount to request, but if our story touches the hearts of 1000 people who are willing to donate $20 to our fundraiser, we will have reached our goal. This goal may cover at least half of what’s actually needed. All things are possible through Him. Thank you again!
