The commissioners and the big corporations think this is already decided.
Well, let this rally be the Paul Revere moment for Monrovia. Because we are here to tell you, they're coming. And they think they're going to win. But they're not.
They think we’re going to shrug our shoulders and let them pave over farmland, drive up our energy costs, and put an industrial-sized drain on our resources without our consent.
They think we’re too small to matter. That we’ll be too polite to fight back.
But they’re wrong.
We’ve stopped bad ideas before, and we’ll do it again. This isn’t just about stopping a data center — it’s about making sure that Morgan County is run by the people who live here, not by whoever has the biggest checkbook.
They're counting on you to think, "Oh, well maybe it won't affect me directly."
This movement is just getting started. How do you know it's the right thing to get behind? Because most voters agree with this. When you have an issue that both sides agree on, that's HOW YOU KNOW.
We are building the network to fight this - we have media coverage in the works, volunteer teams forming, and we have a plan to keep the pressure on.
But momentum without fuel will stall.
We need to fight on multiple fronts:
- We need legal resources ready if it comes to that.
- We need a website as a central hub for updates, research, and organizing.
- We need printed materials, signs, and flyers to reach every corner of the country.
- We need the ability to host events that educate and motivate our community.
This all takes funding. Not millions-just enough from each of us to show that we believe in our own cause. The corporations behind this have trillions of dollars but what they don't have is the resolve of a small-town community, you and I.
Your funding will be
If everyone here gives - whether it's $10, $50, $100 - we'll have the resources to keep this movement alive.
Give generously to this cause - because if we don't fund our own fight, no one else will.
Stay engaged. Keep showing up, keep speaking out, keep proving that Monrovia is not for sale.
