A few weeks ago, my son told me something that made my heart sink to my stomach. Long story short, my son told me he was being hit and screamed at by one of his caretakers. He told me he was scared of this person and feels safe when they’re at work/not around. It broke my heart, and I immediately called CPS because I didn't know what else to do. Unfortunately, my complaints weren't taken seriously because they didn't want to take the word of a 3-year-old.

Then last week, I got a message from one of his relatives that my son is also living with strangers in the home and the hitting continues. The day after that, I got another message from a different relative that another child in the home (6 years old) expressed to someone he trusted that he's being hit and has witnessed a scene that made him very scared.

I'm purposely withholding the children's names and the relationship they have to said individual because this isn't about accusations or slander. This is nothing more than a heartbroken and concerned parent trying to ensure his child's safety. I'm doing all I can to make sure that happens, taking the steps I need to, but I need a little more help to get a lawyer as soon as possible, so this is my plea for help. I'm not asking for the best lawyer money can buy, but enough to get one that will help my child be heard and his safety ensured.
