In Austin today, 1 in 10 children will experience physical, emotional, or sexual abuse before turning 18, and 90 percent of those cases will never be reported.

These are not just numbers. They are children in our schools, our neighborhoods, and our city.

When a child finds the courage to speak up, they deserve someone who is ready to protect them, guide them, and help them heal.

For over 30 years, the Center for Child Protection has been that safe place.

They are the only nonprofit in Austin’s Travis County directly involved in investigating crimes against children, and they support 3 to 5 new children every single day who have survived abuse or witnessed violent crime.

Every service is completely free, offered in both English and Spanish, so no family is ever turned away.

Right now funding gaps threaten the Center’s ability to keep waitlists clear and services available, which means real children risk not getting help when they need it most.

Our leadership team, ATX15 at Atlas Project, has committed to raising $100,000 by December 12th.

We believe every child who has survived abuse deserves a path to healing right now, not a spot on the waitlist.
