For more than seven years, we’ve been building something special - a space where creativity, culture, and community can thrive.
We took a forgotten, dilapidated office complex and transformed it into The People’s Plaza - a home for art, for music, for business, for gathering. Today, more than seventy local businesses, studios, and creators call this place home. We've hosted thousands of pieces of local art, dozens of new businesses, and countless moments of raw, unfiltered expression.
We've done it all on passion, grit, and an unshakable belief that every town needs a heartbeat- a place where people can create, connect, and just be.
But keeping this dream alive has come at a cost. The infrastructure demands have been immense, and we’ve pushed through every obstacle, pouring all we have into making this place possible. Now, we're asking the community — the people who have built this place with us, those it has been built for, and the wider world who believe all people deserve space to express — to help keep it alive.
Why Now?
The People’s Gallery, a cornerstone of the Plaza, needs urgent funding to remain open. This is more than a gallery - it’s a beacon for free expression in a region that has long resisted it. A place where all cultures, all voices, and all stories are honored.
For generations, our town was governed by forces that banned live music, dancing, and free artistic expression. The People’s Plaza has stood as a bright and defiant response from the community, creating spaces where everyone—artists, entrepreneurs, musicians, and dreamers—can thrive.
We need to raise $15,000 to keep the People’s Gallery open. Every dollar beyond will go toward completing construction and securing the future of the Plaza for years to come.
How You Can Help
️️️Donate – Every dollar makes a difference. Donations over $200 will be acknowledged in our list of supporters inside the Gallery.
Join us for a First Friday - Each first Friday of the month, all the spaces in the Plaza open, along with bands and food trucks and local creators and a monthly Gallery Show. Find your way to west tejas and join us.
️Rent The People’s Hall – Planning a wedding, birthday, conference, or celebration? Host it in a reverent space, built by the community, for the community
Become a Sponsor – Donations over $1,000 come with a piece of local art, a plaque in the Gallery, and an invitation to an intimate evening with our artists and featured chef.
