Our aim is simple: to maintain and protect this 2.2 acre strip of land along the Ridings in Botany Bay, Kent, known as 'The Gallops.

The land is valued by locals and visitors as an open, public recreational space. We were determined to protect it from speculators/ developers as an open green space for the public to enjoy in perpetuity. With that goal in mind, as local residents we have got together to successfully buy the land at auction.

The land is now managed by a non-profit company (limited by guarantee) 'Friends of the Gallops Limited'.

Your support will help ensure we're able to meet the costs of ongoing maintenance, as well as legal and insurance costs necessary to preserve the land for public access.
