Suzanne is a woman, mother and friend in our community who has dedicated her life to helping others. She is one of the strongest, hardest working people I know, and plays an instrumental role in transforming the well-being of so many people through her business Luminous Life in SA.
She has a unique gift for healing, bringing comfort and restoration to those in need, with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to her clients.
She’s also a volunteer firefighter in her local brigade, providing support to the surrounding community.
But Suzanne is now struggling and needing desperate support.
Suzanne’s teenage daughter Alyssa is dealing with an illness that has left her bedridden for the last 2 years. An enormous change for someone who has always been active in dance and aerials, and determined to do well in everything she does.
Caring for Alyssa as a sole parent, and running a small business with a limited income impacted by Covid, has left them both in an increasingly vulnerable state.
I’ve watched Suzanne working hard to restabilise her business after the impacts of the pandemic, even as she continues to care for her daughter, their home and the community around her.
But a recent development means they now face the potential loss of their home, and Suzanne is needing legal support to help her secure their finances and protect their future, at least for long enough to help them back on their feet.
Leaving their current home would mean the likely closing of Suzanne’s business, including the impact of that loss of income, and would leave them without secure housing, further impacting the health and wellbeing of her daughter.
This would erode them to a point that they may not be able to recover from.
What we need:
· Our goal is to raise $5,000-$10,000 asap for Suzanne to hire a lawyer to respond to the recent legal action. (All other avenues for Legal Aid have been exhausted over the last 12 months as her finances have become further eroded.)
· Surplus funds will be held for Suzanne to be able to continue with further legal fees and support if required.
· Anything extra will be used to provide much needed healthcare and respite support for both Suzanne and Alyssa, both of whom are hitting exhaustion point.
What we’d love:
- Please support Suzanne financially if you can – every little bit helps.
- Please help us reach as many people as possible, by liking, commenting and sharing.
- Please leave some words of support for Suzanne, especially if you know Suzanne and her daughter – this has been an incredibly hard time for them, and we want them to know how loved they both are.
Your support means the world, and will make a tangible difference in the life of someone who has dedicated herself to the service of others.
Together we can ensure that that this beautiful mother and daughter receive the help they need to be able to remain in their home and continue their journey safely.

“ I've seen Suzanne face constant challenges with dignity and strength, but more recently I've seen her in moments heading towards despair. Her situation is beyond her control, as she's made every possible effort to resolve the situation fairly and amicably. That effort has not been rewarded, and it now seems her situation has fallen between the cracks. Suzanne constantly gives to and supports those around her, and I'll be more than happy to help her now. I'd encourage you to do the same."
